Our dedication to reducing our environmental impact is evident in every strand of FIMT we produce and every kilometre we sell. By integrating innovative practices such as our onsite renewable energy generation, which now accounts for nearly a quarter of our total energy consumption, and by implementing resource-efficient processes that increased our production capacity significantly while minimizing waste, we have proven how seriously we take the topic.

In 2023, NBG increased production capacity by approximately 40%. Impressively, this growth came with a mere 15% increase in energy demand, demonstrating our commitment to efficient production practices.

Reduced Waste

Alongside our production achievements, NBG has successfully reduced waste production by nearly 30% compared to last year, emphasizing our dedication to environmental responsibility.

Renewable Energy Integration

Our onsite Photovoltaic (PV) system proudly generated around 23% of NBG’s total energy needs, showcasing our stride towards renewable energy use.

Even with significant advancements in production, we’ve maintained a remarkably low carbon footprint, with an estimated CO2 emission of just 15kg per kilometer of Fiber in Metal Tube (FIMT) produced.

Energy from our production processes, like laser welding, is not wasted. It’s captured and reused to heat our production plant, creating a self-sustaining system that eliminates the need for external energy sources for heating.

More than 50% of our fleet is EVs

Reflecting our commitment to sustainability, approximately 50% of our vehicle fleet consists of electric cars, significantly reducing our carbon emissions from transportation.
