FIBER IN METAL TUBES
Basalt Cladded (BCF)
Fiber Optic Cable Cladding: Basalt
Basalt is an alkaline volcanic rock with several qualities that make it an ideal fiber optic cable cladding. It’s elastic, light, and strong. The Basalt custom fiber optic cables have a long-life guarantee, resistant to crush and mechanical wear and tear.
The additional benefits of being lightweight and flexible make it perfect for challenging installations. A plastic sheath layer protects the Basalt layer from elements like extreme high temperatures, further increasing the strength and lifetime of the cable without compromising its flexibility or adding additional weight.
